This course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of current video and audio file formats plus their associated metadata and workflows.

It will explain how file formats are used from production, through the broadcast chain including QC and post-production and onto delivery and archive.
It will examine how broadcast files have replaced traditional tape-based video audio workflows together with the advantages gained through this transition. At the conclusion of the course the participants will have a thorough knowledge of all the common file formats that they are likely to encounter, their associated workflows and the standards bodies that recommend best working practices.
The attendees will understand the current processes to create, transcode, monitor and deliver files and be able to use them practically and efficiently with the knowledge and confidence gained through this learning process.
