TAG Video Systems Returns to BroadcastAsia with Extended Portfolio and Partners for Software-Based IP Production, Playout and Distribution Applications

Fri 07, 06 2019

The world Leader in software-based IP integrated Multiviewing, Probing and Monitoring solutions to demonstrate its flagship MCM-9000 and share its vision for how IP workflows drive improved value across Production, Playout and Distribution applications.

Tel Aviv – June 06, 2019 TAG Video Systems, the world leader in integrated software-based IP Multiviewers, probing & monitoring solutions, has announced plans to expand its participation at BroadcastAsia 2019. TAG will showcase its game-changing 100% software IP-based UHD platform that targets the three primary media applications – Live Production, Playout and Distribution – in its Asia partners’ stands: Magna Systems and Engineering (Level 4 Stand 4M2-01), and Ideal Systems (Level 6 Stand 6E3-01).

Initially established as a leader in real-time media probing, monitoring and multiviewing for conventional distribution applications, TAG has now brought their expertise to live production and playout, with unsurpassed breadth and depth of monitoring and probing of uncompressed media signals in an IP environment. Today with the acceleration of SMPTE ST 2110 replacing SDI within broadcast facilities, IP is enjoying even greater acceptance in the market, offering increased scalability and flexibility while enabling new capabilities such as remote and collaborative production.

Until TAG’s recent development, the industry had been challenged by the large number of high-bandwidth, uncompressed video signals that forced users to deploy proprietary hardware multiviewer solutions which limit flexibility and agility. TAG’s 100% software approach, operating on standard COTS server hardware, overcomes these restrictions and enables broadcasters to break away from purpose-built hardware and truly leverage the scale and agility that comes with software-deployed IP solutions. TAG’s advanced software skills also allowed it to break the software / bandwidth / timing limitations of ST 2110 in COTS hardware and has brought a high-density solution with multiple 100GE interfaces and support for ST-2022-7 network redundancy.

The Company’s MCM-9000 platform is the world’s first system that combines monitoring of compressed and uncompressed signals all within the same system and on the same screen.

TAG’s innovative technology allows low latency display along with features such as Tally and dynamic UMD integration, essential for live production applications. This finally brings the full flexibility of a software-based approach to live production applications.

TAG’s cross-application solution is currently supporting over 20,000 channels successfully in facilities around the globe. The Company’s unique 100% software approach to probing, monitoring and multiviewing for distribution, playout and live production in an all-IP ecosystem will be on display in Ideal Systems’ Suntec Singapore Stand No: 6E3-01 on Level 6 as well as in Magna Systems’ Stand No: 4M2-01 on Level 4.
