The JT-NM roadmap has become a key document as our industry moves toward IT and IP. However, some questions have been raised about the meaning of terms such as ‘dematerialisation’, ‘cloud-fit’ and virtualisation, and how the roadmap deals with the long tail of SDI. In this presentation, Brad Gilmer (Executive Director, Joint Task Force on Networked Media) shows the thinking behind the roadmap, the significance of the terminology used, and gives a better understanding of the timelines and what they mean.
