The IABM Industry Index tracks aggregate sales and operational profit trends across the broadcast and media technology sector, based on latest reported financial performance. The information is derived from both published financial returns and via individual non-disclosure arrangements with selected private companies. Currently the Index includes over 50 companies, small to large, with a combined turnover of over US$6bn.
We publish summarised statistics each quarter for the sector as a whole, including year on year market growth, the percentage of companies in profit or loss, and the return (profit to sales) the industry is achieving in aggregate. We are also able to identify and comment upon significant differences between companies based in North America or those based in Europe.
Member companies are able to benchmark their own performance with the sector and region, and track emerging trends.
No individual company data is published, and the identity of companies in the sample is not declared. Mergers, acquisitions, public offerings and other factors require the sample to be adjusted from time to time, but we ensure a representative sample is included with sufficient data for statistically robust conclusions.
