Headline	Gekko Technology To Exhibit Its Expanding Range Of LED Lights At BSC Show 2010, Elstree
Article	Gekko Technology will be demonstrating the latest additions to its range of high-efficiency film and video lighting equipment at BSC Show 2010, March 19-20. Held annually at Elstree Studios, the exhibition has grown in recent years from a UK-oriented event into one that attracts film-makers and digital video content-producers from many parts of Europe. Exhibiting with Cirrolite, Gekko will exhibit the recently-announced karesslite 606 as well as five models from its established range of luminaires: karesslite 6012, kisslite, george, kicklite 106 and kelvin TILE: karesslite 606 and 6012 Based on the 6 x 12 emitter 600 x 300 mm karesslite 6012, karesslite 606 incorporates a 6 x 6 emitter layout measuring 300 x 300 mm. Power consumption is correspondingly halved to 45 W, allowing more than three hours of continuous operation from a single rear-mountable V-Lock battery. An integral diffusion grating creates a single source with minimal light loss. The karesslite 606 can be used as a single soft light source or combined with additional karesslites into a larger multiple light source. kisslite The kisslite 3200 K and 5600 K white light source is a light-weight and portable LED ringlight system designed for commercial, drama and documentary shooting. It can work on hand held cameras, mounted on a stabilisation system such as Steadicam, or on a crane or dolly. In all instances it provides high-quality fill without compromising the dominant or ambient light source. Dual or triple filter staging are available if required. george george is lens-mounted ringlight designed for use where an on-axis fill is required in conjunction with large-diameter zoom or primes optics. Its controller allows individual switching of four-quarter-subsets (top, bottom, left and right) and dimming from 100 to 5 per cent without altering colour temperature. kicklite 106 kicklite 106 is a high-output six-LED-inline fixture for use where space is tight. Powered from batteries, kicklites are available with a colour temperature of 3200 K or 5600 K. Multiple units can be joined using integral magnetics. kelvin TILE kelvin TILE is soft panel employing a combination of three-colour LEDs in a 16 x 15 matrix to generate high-quality broad-spectrum white light, specifically for film and video production. The kelvin TILE provides total control over colour temperature from 2,200 to 6,500 K with presets at 3,000 and 5,500 K. Measuring 301 x 301 x 99 mm (WHD), the kelvin TILE delivers up to 419 Lux at 5,500 K or 273 Lux at 3,000 K (both measured at 1 metre distance) with a power consumption of only 85 W. Beam angle is 108 degrees at 50 per cent intensity.
