Article
Stand numbers: 8.650/8.652/8.654/8.750a

The IABM represents broadcast manufacturing and media technology suppliers worldwide. This year sees a host of fresh IABM initiatives:

1) The IABM is hosting a major debate on Friday September 7 for exhibitors and guests at IBC. As part of the Shrinking World, Growing Markets, Global Business theme day, the IABM is hosting a session entitled “Buy or be bought – does convergence mean consolidation”. Exhibitors are entitled to one free pass for this session which can be claimed online at http://www.ibc.org/cgi-bin/displaypage.cgi?pageref=3173.

2) On Saturday 8th September, the IABM will announce the five winners of their prestigious Design & Innovation Awards including the IABM Peter Wayne Award for Innovation and the IABM Tom McGann Training Award.

3) Visitors are invited to the IABM’s stand to receive a free copy of the IABM Industry Guide, a sought-after publication for broadcasters, content creators and others who need to acquire technology, which outlines what is happening in the market, technology and what is available and from whom.

4) Visitors can also try the IABM’s new online Company and Product Locator. This new global database (www.theiabm.net) showcases more than 1500 suppliers of broadcast and media technology products and services. Targeted at technology purchasers, it enables users to search for and shortlist suppliers across 200 product types. The site boasts a unique ‘Explore’ feature to help users find and understand industry segments and product types. It also provides explanations of over 350 technology terms and links to key IABM services such as Industry News and International Events Calendar.

Delegates can also review and purchase our Global Market Research Study and a training and educational DVD - entitled “Broadcast Equipment: What It Is And What It Does – An IABM Guide”.

The IABM will be hosting a private meeting room for use by member companies. To book the meeting room in advance, contact Elaine Bukiej at info@theiabm.org or visit the IABM at stand 8.652 during the show.
