openGear Fiber Optic Modules
Telecast will display two new modules that are now shipping in support of the award-winning openGear terminal equipment platform from Ross Video. openGear is based on an open-architecture, 2RU modular frame, designed to accommodate up to 10 cards. Telecast is one of a number of terminal equipment vendors supporting the openGear platform, which allows facilities the freedom and flexibility to choose the best technology for their particular applications. Customers are no longer locked into one manufacturer's frame standard and modules for their terminal equipment solutions. openGear also provides the platform with a control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of frames and modules on the network.

Universal Camera Operational Remote Control Panel (RCP)
Telecast will also introduce the new Universal Camera Operational RCP. The Universal RCP supports the CopperHeadTM and CopperHead G2 camera-mounted multiplexers, and can be configured to emulate many different control panels from various camera manufacturers. With its smooth full-function joystick and built-in pedestal control, the Universal RCP can be used in place of remote control panels that do not provide functional joystick control of iris and pedestal.

Established Products on Display

CopperHeadTM G2

Telecast's CopperheadTM G2 is an advanced HD/SDI and analog fiber optic multiplexing system that fits on the back of a portable digital or analog camera. Designed for sports, digital cinematography, and ENG/SNG, the Copperhead G2 multiplexes all two-way camera signals onto a single flexible, lightweight fiber cable. It provides all the signals needed for a remote TV production, and it delivers the high quality and reliability broadcasters have come to expect of fiber optic interface systems.

AdderTM II
Since their introduction 10 years ago, Telecast's Adder audio multiplexing systems have become the world's most widely used announce booth and point-to-point audio snakes. The AdderTM II is Telecast's most advanced modular audio, intercom, and data multiplexing system, with a modular and scalable design, improved user features, and even better audio and optical performance. The Adder II is an audio workhorse, with up to 64 channels of bi-directional audio, four intercom module slots providing up to eight intercoms, expanded data and GPI capabilities, and industry-leading latency specs.
