Article	The new F10 AS3D projector is the world’s first single-chip high resolution active stereo 3D projector and has been hailed as another breakthrough by Norwegian manufacturer, projectiondesign. Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager at projectiondesign said the part of the focus would be around stereoscopic 3D on this year’s InfoComm 08 booth: “The majority of active stereoscopic projectors available in the market tend to be large and cumbersome and are mainly available only for companies with large budgets. Seizing the opportunity to introduce an active stereo and compact projector, projectiondesign decided to bring the same levels of performance and include them in our single chip F10 chassis.” The F10 AS3D single chip DLP® projector is the only portable high resolution active 3D stereoscopic projector available in the market. It’s designed for the demanding scientific visualisation, simulation and entertainment environments in applications that have not been able to achieve this level of performance in the past. The F10 AS3D features several patented technologies to achieve its remarkable performance. The projector operates at a full 120 Hz refresh rate from dual head inputs on DVI or VGA, making it compatible with virtually every single dual head stereoscopic Image Generator in the market. A full 120 Hz refresh rate enables flicker free imaging in all environments, and gives full 60 Hz sequential imaging. The F10 AS3D features a resolution of 1,400 x 1,050 pixels, and it is fully compatible with 1080p inputs. It is also compatible with both IR transmitted and White Light (DLP Link) LCD 3D shutter glasses. On booth N5541 at InfoComm 08, the F10 AS3D projectors will be displaying alongside projectiondesign’s Infitec™ fitted F20 sx+ 3D passive stereoscopic projectors, both being parts of a complete range of 3D stereographic projection solutions, that also includes several models from the F30 series of projectors.
