Assistant Research Analyst / Content Executive

Salary: £22,000

Principal Functions 
You will support the Research Analyst and be responsible for the aggregation and maintenance of IABM’s content.

This is a unique opportunity to undertake a demanding and fascinating role in an exciting and interesting industry community. It requires a highly intelligent individual with good numeracy, analysis and interpretation skills who is organised and accurate in their work practises and comfortable with carrying out research by email, phone and in person.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities

Assistant Research Analyst

  • Identify, collect and tabulate company and sector performance data for the broadcast and media technology industry worldwide.
  • Assist with the analysis and reporting of structured and unstructured data.
  • Source data from company filings, subscription databases and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Participate in company analyst calls and capture relevant qualitative company and sector information to aid analysis and interpretation of quantitative data.
  • Compile aggregated quantitative sector financial ratio and management performance data.
  • Design, deliver and analyse qualitative “C” level surveys to provide deeper and comparative analysis to support other research.
  • Invite and respond to one-to-one enquiries from member companies with commentary about market conditions, sector performance

Content Executive

  • Aggregate and meta tag all content owned by IABM and content from other sources used by IABM for use in IABM’s “Knowledge Hub”.
  • Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners in order to obtain full breadth of metadata attributes of any content.
  • Perform data maintenance duties and metadata management.
  • Update existing metadata with new attributes as they become available whilst ensuring ongoing accuracy and cleansing.
  • Revising and refining existing metadata.
  • Keep pace with SEO industry trends and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate search rankings and search performance across the major search channels in order to improve rankings.

Specific training will be provided to enable effective use of the necessary information management tools and to provide an understanding of the industry. Specific sector knowledge is not required but an active interest in broadcast and entertainment media is clearly desirable.

Digital Marketing Assistant - Student Placement - IABM

Reporting to     Online Media Executive

Hours of Work    37.5 hours with flexibility to cover most time zones in particular Europe and North America

Salary    £16,000 pa

Contract Term    12 Month Contract

You will support the Association with all of the IABM’s Digital marketing communications. 

Key Tasks/Accountabilities

  • Work with the Online Media Executive to implement and execute the digital marketing strategy including website, e-­‐shots, newsletters, social media, webinars and video content
  • Maintain digital marketing activities including website, e-­‐shots,  e-­‐bulletins, blogs, newsletters, social media, webinars and PR to increase our online brand presence
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the IABM’s websites to attract maximum engagement 
  • Assist with the maintenance of the IABM Video channel and ensure that content is engaging and fresh 
  • Active posting, digital reporting and maintaining IABM’s presence on online platforms and social media
  • Representing IABM with a professional manner and polished appearance at industry events, tradeshows and exhibitions as required and as agreed with the Online Media Executive
  • Assist with video interviewing members and taking photographs at IABM events
  • Assist with the co-­‐ordination of video footage and taking ad hoc video footage and taster information to capture the ambience of IABM and other events for social media purposes
  • Regular updating of the website and social media whilst at IABM events
  • Work closely with UK team members to identify and develop opportunities to promote related training courses, conferences, market intelligence, sponsorship and memberships
  • Interacting with other members of the overseas sales teams to optimise efficiency 
  • All duties to be carried out with due regard to Data Protection and Confidentiality
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or senior management and liaising with other departments and offices of IABM.

Ideal candidate

This position requires an articulate, detailed and hard-working team player that has an interest in digital.

  • Excellent attention to detail, and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of Digital Marketing; including content marketing, social media and analytics
  • Good at prioritising workflow, and working flexibly on different projects
  • Experience using Content Management Systems, Google Analytics, Photoshop an advantage
  • Willingness to learn.

  • The job is suited to an experienced engineer with 5 years or more experience in a similar role.

Principal RF Design Engineer E14-FY17 at ETL Systems

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our growing Engineering department.  This position will take a key design role in the RF & Microwave design team working proactively on commercial projects as well as R&D work.  You will be working on a broad range of products including passive and active circuit designs, with a particular bias towards leading the RF Amplifier and ETL Components product lines.

We are looking for an RF and Microwave Design Engineer with extensive hardware development experience. This role is best suited to passionate individuals with a strong background and knowledge in the fields of RF design and technologies.

Experience of designing and developing a range of RF and Microwave products over the spectrum of DC-6GHz is essential, with experience up to Ku/K/Ka bands being highly desirable.  You will also lead the design and development of new ranges of products, including technical documentation.  This role requires an excellent understanding of interaction and relationships between key parameters including gain, power levels, linearity, VSWR, NF, signal related spurii etc. Some knowledge of the Satellite Communications industry/technologies/techniques is desirable.

You will be a strong team player, able to operate as both an innovator and an implementer.  A strong analytical approach is desired with a clear track record of success and delivery to cost and timescales, benefitted by your commercial understanding. In addition to this, you will have the ability to lead projects or small teams and mentor junior colleagues.
