Design & Innovation Awards 2014
* Deadline Extended to July 18 *
The IABM Design and Innovation Awards recognize new solutions that offer significant benefits or new opportunities to the broadcast and media industry. With the industry transitioning through major changes, never before has there been such an important requirement for innovation and creative solutions, bringing real value to end users.
This year applications are invited for nine industry segments with more awards and more winners! Companies large and small, specialist and non-specialist all have a great opportunity to receive well deserved recognition for their outstanding products or services.
Three shortlisted nominations in each category will be announced and publicized prior to IBC in September, the category winners will then be revealed at the IABM Design & Innovation Awards Ceremony at the exhibition.
Don’t miss your chance for recognition and outstanding additional publicity!
There will be nine awards presented at IBC in each of the following categories:
|Acquisition & production||System automation & control|
|Post production||Playout & delivery systems|
|Content & communication infrastructure||Test, quality control & monitoring|

Applications are invited from all IBC exhibitors, deadline is July 18, 2014. Multiple entries to a maximum of three are allowed and each entry can be associated with more than one category. Individual entries, if successful, will only be awarded to one category. The judges reserve the right to determine the most appropriate category or categories and restrict the number of categories for each application.
Each entry is looked at in detail and a shortlist created. That shortlist is made available to a panel of specialist independent judges for each segment to enable them to select the winning entries.
Judging will be on the basis of the perceived impact on the industry in terms of end user benefit, value for money, innovation, implementation, performance or new opportunities created.
There will be 27 finalists and a total of nine awards presented.
Winners for Design and Innovation Awards are announced at the IABM reception and awards ceremony at IBC on the Saturday evening.
Winning entries will be put forward to the IABM’s prestigious Peter Wayne Award to be announced at the IABM Annual International Business Conference in December.
