DNF Controls Expands Sales Force with Two New Hires
28 Feb 2012DNF Controls, creator of the Flex Control Network® modular platform of professional IP-based machine controllers, today announced it has hired Fred Scott Jr. as director of sales and business development, and Tom Weems, CPBE, as Western regional sales manager/engineer.
Scott will be responsible for supporting DNF customers east of the Mississippi River. He has an engineering background in video and fiber-optic transmission, and has held several executive leadership positions during his more than 20 years in the broadcast and audiovisual industries. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering technology from New York Institute of Technology and has completed courses toward his master's degree in communication engineering at Polytechnic Institute of New York. He comes to DNF from MultiDyne, where he served as vice president of sales and business development.
Weems will oversee sales management in the Western region, with direct key account management, rep/dealer account sales, and OEM/Systems Integrators' activities. Weems brings a wealth of experience in broadcast engineering/management, sales, and product management in the telecommunications, broadcast, electronic equipment (IT/networking), and manufacturing industries, along with unique perspective as an end-user and technical manager — qualities that are integral to understanding clients' technical and business requirements. Weems earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering technology from Almeda University, is an SBE Senior Member, SBE Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer, a member of SMPTE and Society of Television Engineers, and served two terms on the SBE board of directors.
