IABM Regional Councils

An initiative to ensure that IABM is relevant in all the territories that its members trade in, the aim of these regional councils is to give members in their own region a voice, and bring the issues of the broadcast and media technology industry to a wider audience.

Drawn from senior executives in member companies the Regional Council Board consists of a minimum of eight Council members and a Chair. The councils provide the association with a strong presence in each region, creating a forum for discussion and debate on issues relevant to local markets and activities.

It is envisaged that once the Council is properly constituted through an electoral process then the elected Chair of the Council would then be appointed to the overall IABM Members’ Board. This will help steer the development of the Association on a truly international basis and will provide effective representation of the interests of members in the region. 

The aims will be to lead the strategic development of the Association within the region and to:

  • Create a forum for discussion, debate and actions on issues pertinent to the region
  • Provide advocacy for members in the region
  • Promote best practice
  • Deal with complaints and issues
  • Provide collective representation and leverage the collective purchasing power of the supply community
  • Be the voice of IABM in the region
  • Help create networking events, disseminate information and knowledge
