Peter White

Chief Executive

Since his appointment as Chief Executive of IABM in 2009, Peter has overseen the transformation of the association into the truly international, authoritative voice of the broadcast and media technology supply industry it is today. IABM facilitates the crucial networking and interaction between suppliers – and their customers - that shape and define the unique ecosystem of the industry. It does this by supporting its 500+ members with a comprehensive range of services across market intelligence, training, technology, exhibitions and best practices – all designed to help them do better business. Originally qualified as an accountant, Peter has tapped a vast range of experience in driving the success of IABM. He has enjoyed a long career as CFO, and then CEO, of many complex organizations in a number of sectors including: printing and graphics; direct response and direct marketing; high tech capital equipment manufacturing; and nursery products design, manufacturing and retail. He has also been a tutor at the Leadership Trust, a consultant in lean manufacturing, best practice and Kaizen and Chair of PE backed businesses.

Abirah Aziz

Research Analyst

Abirah recently graduated with First Class Honours in International Business and Economics at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. While studying for her degree, Aziz gained commercial experience through an internship as a Customer Operations Trainee at E.ON. Aziz is also fluent in Arabic and Spanish languages. Abirah works with Lorenzo Zanni helping help IABM further grow its much-valued Business Intelligence portfolio, bringing IABM members more reports, market studies and insights to help them do even better business.

Peter Bruce

Director, APAC

Peter is the IABM’s main representative and senior manager in APAC. Peter’s responsibilities include recruiting new members and supporting existing members, developing new business relationships and increasing awareness of the IABM throughout the APAC region.

Elaine Bukiej

Membership Secretary and Marketing Executive

Elaine is the primary point of contact for our members and for all enquiries concerning the IABM. She is responsible for maintaining our CRM system and organizing our exhibition presence. Elaine also provides support to the Chief Executive.

Caryn Cohen

Director, North America

As the IABM’s main representative and senior manager in North America, Caryn’s responsibilities include recruiting new members and supporting existing members, developing new business relationships, increasing awareness of the IABM in the vendor and end-user communities, and growing the profile of the IABM throughout the North American media industry.

Lisa Collins

Head of Marketing

Lisa is responsible for all IABM marketing and sales activities. In addition she is responsible for organising our events, our CRM, website and publications. Lisa is your key contact for any enquiries about media information and is Chair for our Exhibition Task Group. Lisa would be delighted to hear from anyone that has feedback, both positive and negative, on how we can enhance any of the IABM’s activities.

Ben Dales

Online Media Executive

Ben works alongside Lisa and Elaine in the IABM’s marketing team and is responsible for the IABM online and digital presence including the IABM website, email communications, social media, the IABM App and IABM.TV. Please contact Ben if you have any ideas or suggestions for improvements to IABM digital offerings.

Hassan Ghoul

The Broadcast Industry is currently witnessing a lot of changes which are creating unprecedented challenges within the Broadcast community in all markets including the MENA region. Hassan joined IABM during these crucial times and is looking forward to supporting IABM current and potential members in their efforts to deliver solutions to the broadcast and media players in the MENA region.

Director Strategic Insight

As well as overseeing the activities of our Standards Monitoring Group and Advisory Board, John also provides leadership for approved projects related to industry strategy that need industry-specific knowledge and has shared responsibility for a number of key business development activities.

Andrew Jones

Head of Training

Andy leads on the IABM’s training portfolio, our University forum and works with the IABM Educational Foundation to deliver technical skills certification, engineering student awards and initiatives designed to develop the next generation of talented people for our industry. Andy is a Chartered Engineer and joined us from the BBC’s Wood Norton Training Academy in 2016. He’s your contact for all training and educational initiatives or feedback.

Athena Krishanthi

Assistant Accountant

Athena supports Lucinda in the day-to-day operation of the finance function, including preparing the management accounts, and is the first port of call for any invoice or payment queries.

Lucinda Meek

Finance Director

Lucinda is Finance Director and Company Secretary for IABM. She is responsible for the IABM’s financial, legal and corporate matters and governance of the regional councils and Members’ Board.

Stan Moote


Well known throughout the world, Stan has worked in our industry for over three decades always focusing on technology with an exceptional business approach. You will often see Stan’s forward-looking articles in various industry publications including the IABM Journal. Stan also represents the IABM membership on the NATAS Emmy Technical Committee.

Ellie O'Flaherty

Digital Marketing Assistant

Ellie works with Lisa, Ben and Elaine in the Marketing department and is on a 12 month placement focusing on the digital side of IABM’s marketing strategy. Ellie has just completed her second year of studying Marketing at Plymouth University.

Yoshiro Sawa

IABM Representative in Japan

Yoshiro Sawa is IABM’s principal representative in Japan. Sawa’s responsibilities include not only working with the Japanese membership, but with his international experience, also giving value to IABM members across the APAC region.

Darren Whitehead

Director of Business Development

Darren's main responsibilities are to lead IABM’s efforts to transition from a service-oriented approach to a sales-oriented, customer service model whilst identifying opportunities for growth in existing and new revenue streams.

Joe Zaller

North American Market Development Officer

Joe of Devoncroft Partners has been appointed to help promote the association within the North American region. Many of you will already know Joe as he has worked in the industry at senior level for many years. He is also familiar with IABM having previously been a members' board participant.

Lorenzo Zanni

Research Analyst

Lorenzo holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Business Economics and is responsible for the development of IABM's market intelligence moving forward.

Nigel Burtt

Technology Specialist

Nigel brings expertise in environmental issues. In his role as a member of the Standards Monitoring Group he produces regular reports on legislative changes which are available to members on the IABM website.

Paul Treleaven

Technology Specialist

Paul is a valued and active member of our Standards Monitoring Group who represents IABM on SMPTE and AES Standards Committees and at ABU Technical Committee meetings. He provides IABM with regular news and reports on standards development which are made available to members on the IABM website.

Roger Thornton

Marketing Specialist

Roger has been an active supporter of IABM throughout his 30+ years in the broadcast and media industry, mostly spent with Quantel, and has watched with delight as IABM has developed into the broad-based, truly representative industry body that it is today. Roger is an Honorary Fellow of the BKSTS, Chairman of the IBC Exhibition Committee and last but not least, Chairman of Hungerford Cricket Club.
