IABM Board

Established in 1976, IABM is controlled through a Members' Board which comprises elected and appointed Directors. Elected members serve for two years. 

The Board is responsible for the overall operation of IABM. It also sets, reviews and changes as necessary the policies of the association, which are then implemented by the IABM Team. The members' board also exercises overall financial control.

A Cambridge Engineering Graduate, James is Founder and CEO of Pixel Power Ltd, which has been delivering Broadcast Graphics Solutions for 25 years. His current role encompasses world-wide commercial responsibility and acting as the interface between customers and technical aspects of product development.

Jan Eveleens - Immediate Past Chair

Axon Digital Design

Jan is the CEO of Axon Digital Design. Prior to joining Axon Jan,was a member of the Grass Valley executive management team and responsible for their broadcast camera division. Jan started his career with Philips Electronics where he was deeply involved in D2-MAC, PALplus, HD-MAC, and DVB/MPEG-2 transmission systems as well as Conditional Access systems and watermarking solutions.

Kevin Usher

Avid

Kevin is Director Global Presales Storage & Archive Solutions at Avid. Throughout his 18 year tenure at Avid Kevin,has held a variety of positions which included managing the solutions development team, product management and product marketing for Avid’s professional video products in EMEA. His experience in the broadcast, television and communications industries spans over 28 years with previous positions held at Grass Valley, Sony Broadcast, Independent Broadcasting Authority and Phillips Telecommunications.

Mark Gederman

Mark is Director of Marketing with worldwide responsibility for ChyronHego’s broadcast graphics creation, playout and real-time data visualization solutions. Over the last 27 years, Mark has lead Customer Support, Training, Project Engineering and Marketing teams at leading broadcast & IT companies, including Avid Technology, EMC Corporation, Grass Valley, and Chyron Corporation. Earlier in his career, Mark worked in television news as a Broadcast Engineer and Producer.

Nicki Fisher

Clear-Com

Nicki is the EMEA Sales Director for Clear-Com, responsible for sales of Clear-Com’s products and solutions across the EMEA region. Prior to joining Clear-Com in April 2014, Nicki was the Sales Director for the Tektronix EMEA Video Business for eight, years where she was responsible for sales of Video Analysis and Monitoring equipment into the Broadcasting, Post Production and Telecoms markets. Nicki spent 11 years working for Agilent (formerly Hewlett Packard), where she was the first female Account Manager for the UK Aerospace and Defence business and also European Regional Sales Manager for the Communications Test Business.

Marco Lopez

Grass Valley

Marco is the President of Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. He was appointed to this post following a lengthy career with Miranda, one of the entities combined by Belden to create Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, in 2014. In this role, he's responsible for all worldwide operations for Grass Valley, the flagship brand of Belden’s broadcast platform. Marco has had a distinguished career of over 20 years in the broadcast industry, having led teams in various functions at Matrox Electronics prior to joining Miranda.

Tom Favell

Hi-Tech Systems

Tom is Managing Director of Hi-Tech Systems, which he founded in 1987 having previously worked for companies such as Sony and Michael Cox Electronics. Heavily involved in product design, he also clearly keeps an eye on the business, and is fully aware of the pressures placed on small companies during difficult trading conditions and by increasing regulation.

Glenn is Vice President of Product and Strategic Marketing at Imagine Communications. He and his team are responsible for global marketing strategy and go-to-market execution for Imagine’s advertising management, playout, networking, and distribution product portfolios, as well as the company’s end-to-end solutions and services. Prior to Imagine, Glenn spent two decades in telecom finance and marketing including the last decade at GENBAND, Inc. helping operators understand and experience the benefits of transitioning their networks to next generation IP technology.

Paul Nicholls

Paul is the Sales and Marketing Director of PHABRIX , an innovative test and measurement company headquartered in the UK. Paul joined PHABRIX in 2008 to establish a world-wide distributor network and to promote the PHABRIX brand. Previously his career included ten years at Quantel in a number of roles entering as a technical author through to Applications Manager, Product Specialist, Product Manager then promoted to Marketing Manager for video graphics and special projects.

Peter Sykes

Sony

Peter is the Strategic Technology Development Manager for Sony Professional Solutions Europe. He has worked in the content and media technology industry for 30 years and has been involved in the introduction of some of Sony’s most exciting professional developments including the Digital Betacam, XDCAM and HDCAM production formats. As Strategic Technology Development Manager, Peter is currently involved in the introduction of key technologies such as Ultra High Definition for the European professional market. Based in the UK, he recently lead the project to create Sony’s new Digital Motion Picture Centre for Europe located at Pinewood Studios.

Tim Felstead

Tim is Head of Product Marketing for SAM and has been in our industry for over 25 years. Having worked for Thomson, Grass Valley, Harris (now Imagine Communications) and Rohde and Schwarz, along with Systems Integration and Product Distributor experience at ATG Danmon, Tim,is highly experienced in sales and marketing management for broadcast and media businesses. He started work as a Software Engineer in 3D graphics and animation becoming quickly enamored with our Industry, and has held roles such as Product Management, Segment Marketing, General Management and Product Marketing. He has three,degrees to his name but doesn't’t sing.

David has 50 years' experience in the broadcast industry, initially as a Design and Development Engineer with EMI, followed by,senior engineering roles for the likes of Thames, Grampian and Yorkshire Television. He later co-founded Television Systems Ltd (TSL) and is a member of the Royal Television Society; SMPTE and a member of the IBC Exhibition committee.

Mark Osborn

He has worked for both manufacturers and distributors and is conversant with getting the product to market. Dennis Breckenridge

More than 20 years in Broadcast business management, development and sales, as well as extensive experience in the Asia Pacific Region. Dennis is known for creating solutions unique to customers’ requirements, production style and budget. Dennis’ experience spans not only technical sales and design but also the creative production aspects of the business, most recently as producer for the SEA Games Opening and Closing Ceremony in Myanmar.

Michael Accardi - Chair

Michael Accardi is an experienced leader in the broadcast industry known for putting his customers first. With more than 27 years in management, sales, marketing and product development for broadcast manufacturers, Michael has procured an expansive skill set that stems from his work at top-tier companies such as Sachtler, Anton/Bauer, Autoscript and Vitec Videocom. He recently tapped into that knowledge as he, along with partners Brian Larter and Peter Carey, launched CueScript, with the goal of growing this new company into a leading prompting solutions brand. Prior to launching CueScript, Michael served as Executive Vice President of Vitec Videocom, Americas, from 2010 to 2012. He managed the sales staff for the Americas, while acting as the sales liaison to all factories, including the engineering, quality control and marketing departments. Michael also led two well-known companies within Vitec Videocom, Americas, serving as Anton/Bauer President from 2008 to 2012 and Autoscript Owner/President from 2004 to 2008. As President of Anton/Bauer, Michael strategically led the company, strengthening its position as a leading expert in mobile power technology for the broadcast market. He also worked to re-establish the brand as a pioneer of mobile healthcare technology. He succeeded in his efforts and beyond, further developing Anton/Bauer’s market share in the cine industry. During his time there, Michael expanded the U.S.-based company’s reach in the EMEA and Latin America regions, doubling EMEA sales within four years. Michael also expanded the sales and marketing staff to support company advancement and improve customer relations, ensuring that the brand consistently upheld its strong presence throughout the company’s evolution. While Owner/President of Autoscript, Michael introduced the U.K.-based prompting manufacturer to the Americas, establishing its U.S. manufacturing service division in order to increase quality, customer satisfaction and profit. Derek Owen

Non Executive Director

Derek has been involved in the broadcast industry for over 50 years. After engineering positions at EMI and BBC and sales roles at RCA and ProWest Electronics he was a co-founder of Pro-Bel in 1977. After his retirement in 1998 he acted as an advisor to several companies. Derek has been involved with IABM since 1978 serving on every members’ committee and board since then. Derek was made an honorary member in 2006 and is Chairman of IABM Limited.

Graham Pitman

Vice Chair

Graham is Vice Chair of IABM and has a broadcasting career spanning four decades. Starting out at BBC engineering, Graham was a co-founder at Pro-Bel, became SVP of Sales and Marketing at Chyron, led the MBO of Pro-Bel from Chyron and subsequently played a pivotal role in merging Pro-Bel with Snell & Wilcox to create Snell. Graham has considerable M&A experience and strong connections with the financial community. He is increasingly focused upon the strategic challenges facing companies in the sector. Graham is also Chairman at Yospace and Chairman at ATG.

Lucinda Meek

Finance Director

Lucinda is Finance Director and Company Secretary for IABM and has been with the Association since 2006. She is responsible for IABM’s financial, legal and corporate matters and is a qualified chartered accountant having trained with Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now PwC).

Peter White

Chief Executive

As Chief Executive Peter’s responsibilities include the development and implementation of the association’s strategies; representing our members at executive level to organizations around the world and overseeing the smooth running of IABM. Together with the whole team Peter is focused on establishing IABM as the authoritative voice of the industry.
Originally Peter qualified as an accountant and before joining IABM he enjoyed a long career as the FD and then CEO of many complex organizations across a number of sectors including printing and graphics, direct response and direct marketing, high tech capital equipment manufacturing and nursery products design, manufacturing and retail. He has also been a Tutor at the Leadership Trust, a consultant for lean manufacturing, best practice and Kaizen, and Chair of PE backed businesses.
